Personal Best Education has been providing expert educational, sports and activities services since 2012. The Position
Personal Best has embarked on a new and ambitious growth strategy for the next three-five years, aimed at broadening its provision to achieve the challenging organisational goals to ensure the long-term success and sustainability of the business. The successful candidate will be presented with a fantastic opportunity to help build on the strong foundations of Personal Best, where the potential for making a positive impact on the world is without limit, for both the organisation and appointed individual.
The Marketing Executive will play a key role in supporting the Head of Commercial in the successful delivery of the strategy and growing Personal Best’s current and new business streams through enabling the commercial team to reach their target audiences with effective sales tools.
This hands-on position is aimed at an ambitious and driven individual seeking to prove their capabilities by bringing ‘added value’ to a burgeoning organisation resulting in significant potential to move into a more senior role and manage a marketing team within 12-18 months.
The primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Create and implement an effective marketing plan across the portfolio to help achieve Personal Best’s strategic goals
- Lead on all marketing activities and creation of materials i.e. Brochures, Flyers, PR campaigns, Communications, Ads, Events, Presentations etc.
- Monitor and update website content and performance
- Manage all online content and external communication channels e. Social Media, Portals with listings etc.
- Work closely with Product, Dept. and Project Managers to maximise both the commercial potential and PR impact of each business area
- Produce reports on marketing activities and outcomes i.e. Monthly, End of campaigns, annual etc.
- Coordinate and report on regular competitor/market insight initiatives with key stakeholders from the commercial team and other depts. to support effective decision-making
- Act as the gatekeeper to Personal Best’s reputation in the marketplace and the maintenance of an excellent relationship with customers
- Be a key contributor to the Personal Best Strategic direction and support other aspects of the business, where possible and key responsibilities permitting

Qualifications and Education
- Must hold a minimum of 5 x GCSE’s (or equivalent) at grade A-C including Maths and English – E
- Must be educated to degree level or hold a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a marketing role – E
- Qualification in Marketing – E
Skills, Knowledge and Experience
- Experience of successfully leading and/or making a significant contribution to a variety of marketing projects in a commercial organisation – E
- Excellent knowledge and understanding of the key elements of marketing – E
- Experience in creating a marketing activity plan for a commercial organisation- E
- Intermediate design skills and experience in using software such as In-Design, Canva etc. – E
- Experience in using social media platforms – LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram etc. – in a commercial environment and creating engaging content – E
- Basic understanding of WordPress and updating website content – E
- Experience of working with diverse key stakeholders, both internal and external – E
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills – E
- Competency in using IT systems (Microsoft Office, Google Suite etc.) – E
