The Position

Personal Best has embarked on a new and ambitious growth strategy for the next three-five years, aimed at broadening its provision to achieve the challenging organisational goals to ensure the long-term success and sustainability of the business.   The successful candidate will be presented with a fantastic opportunity to help build on the strong foundations of Personal Best, where the potential for making a positive impact on the world is without limit, for both the organisation and appointed individual.

 

The Marketing Executive will play a key role in supporting the Head of Commercial in the successful delivery of the strategy and growing Personal Best’s current and new business streams through enabling the commercial team to reach their target audiences with effective sales tools.

 

This hands-on position is aimed at an ambitious and driven individual seeking to prove their capabilities by bringing ‘added value’ to a burgeoning organisation resulting in significant potential to move into a more senior role and manage a marketing team within 12-18 months.

The primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Create and implement an effective marketing plan across the portfolio to help achieve Personal Best’s strategic goals
  • Lead on all marketing activities and creation of materials i.e. Brochures, Flyers, PR campaigns, Communications, Ads, Events, Presentations etc.
  • Monitor and update website content and performance
  • Manage all online content and external communication channels e. Social Media, Portals with listings etc.
  • Work closely with Product, Dept. and Project Managers to maximise both the commercial potential and PR impact of each business area
  • Produce reports on marketing activities and outcomes i.e. Monthly, End of campaigns, annual etc.
  • Coordinate and report on regular competitor/market insight initiatives with key stakeholders from the commercial team and other depts. to support effective decision-making
  • Act as the gatekeeper to Personal Best’s reputation in the marketplace and the maintenance of an excellent relationship with customers
  • Be a key contributor to the Personal Best Strategic direction and support other aspects of the business, where possible and key responsibilities permitting

The Position
This exciting and diverse role is required to support both the customer service
and operational functions of Personal Best Leisure Centre and its portfolio. The
Customer Service and Leisure Centre Assistant will support Personal Best’s
clients at the centre, both on arrival and during their visits. They will help to grow
the revenues of all Personal Best’s propositions at the Mountbatten site as well
as being part of a team focused on making a meaningful and positive impact on
the local community and beyond.


The primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
– To assist in the daily operation of the site ensuring a safe, efficient and
customer orientated service is provided to all visitors.
– Deal with customer enquiries and promote/sell the Personal Best portfolio –
face-to-face and telephone
– Log all relevant information on administration platform and access throughout
opening hours, as and when required
– Oversee and monitor the Leisure Centre during opening hours
– Opening and locking up the School site
– Set up and removal of various sporting & school equipment
– To maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness throughout the site at all
times, undertake routine cleaning duties as required
– To carry out other duties as may be required to ensure the site operation is
properly maintained to provide total customer satisfaction.


Qualifications and Education
– Minimum of 5 GCSE’s or equivalent

– First Aid Qualification is desirable but not essential
– An enhanced DBS check will be carried out as part of this role
Skills and experience
– Experience of supporting or working with customers and willing to learn new
customer service techniques
– Experience of working in a sports, leisure or educational setting

Workshop Facilitator 

 

Overview

Position:  Workshop Facilitator 

Contract: Casual Contract/Flexible Hours

Salary: £20 per hour (including holiday pay) 

Typical Hours: Weekdays between 08:30-16:30 

 

The Position

We are offering an exciting opportunity to enthusiastic individuals who would love to deliver new, fun and engaging workshops/ activities to young people, either at our summer holiday camps or on a more regular basis supporting our programmes!  This is a flexible role which can be worked around studies or another job. 

As part of the role, you will be: 

  • Delivering new, fun and engaging workshops/ activities to young people 
  • Supporting the Personal Best Education Team in the construction of session plans
  • Responding efficiently and effectively to the needs of the young people you will be working with
  • Liaising with relevant staff members and Designated Safeguarding Lead to ensure young people’s wellbeing is supported during delivery.
  • Communicating effectively, clearly and in a timely fashion with Personal Best senior staff, team and venue staff to ensure a smooth running of the programme

We are specifically looking at individuals who are passionate in the following subject areas:

Through our tutoring provision we provide the opportunity for students to achieve their personal best and make a positive impact on themselves and their future. 

Personal Best Education are currently recruiting experienced teachers or trainee teachers working towards their QTS to become part of our tutoring team.  The tutoring sessions will primarily take place in the student’s home or online.  We intend to hold small group sessions at our own tutoring centre in Romsey in the near future.

Our educational tutoring services provide students with access to high quality 1:1 and small group tuition. Aimed at equipping young people with the right tools to benefit and support their attainment; not only for success in the short term educational setting, but also for future career opportunities and fundamental development. As well as academic competencies such as organisation, exam preparation, research techniques and memory skills. 

Our aim is to provide school students with the right skills to enable them to be successful global citizens and make a positive contribution to society. 

Roles and responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons
  • Provide formative feedback to pupils and parents
